Buying a Home in 9 Easy Steps!
Step One
Let me buy you a coffee! We’ll chat through your needs as a homeowner and I’ll give you a rundown on how exactly to buy a home. I’ll connect you with one of my amazing local lenders so we can get the ball rolling on your pre-approval.
Step Two
Once you’re pre-approved and have a budget, we can start looking at houses. You send me listings you like and I’ll do the same. I’ll schedule a tour for us to go and look at all the houses. From there we can determine if you want to offer on any of them.
Step Three
Let’s write an offer. You found “the one” and we are going for it. I’ll chat with the listing agent to see what the sellers are looking for. With that information we tailor a competitive offer that fits within your needs while also appealing to the seller.
Step Four
Offer accepted! You’re pending on your dream home. Your earnest money is due and we conduct home inspections to make sure the house is sound.
Step Seven
Your appraisal is complete and your loan is approved! Your lender communicates all necessary information with your escrow officer. Your escrow officer will reach out to you to schedule an appointment to sign all your paperwork.
Step Five
Once inspections are complete we review the reports together and I negotiate necessary repairs or seller paid credits.
Step Eight
Sign final paperwork and deposit or wire the remainder amount of your down payment to the escrow company. The deed records and the house is officially yours!
Step Six
Your lender orders an appraisal. This is to ensure you are paying fair market value for your home.
